The Award-winning Careers Service at the University of Aberdeen is seeking an Employer Liaison Officer who will work collaboratively with colleagues in Careers/R&I/Alumni and wider University academic leads to develop and deliver an integrated strategy for broader employer engagement leading to measurable increases in career opportunities such as placements, and work based learning projects, for students.
The successful candidate will be required to develop and deliver a comprehensive integrated strategy for the engagement of new and existing employers/professional bodies/external agencies locally, nationally and internationally. It will also be imperative for the successful candidate to extend the Career Service’s relationships with employers/professional bodies/external agencies through proactive business development and account management in key sectors and regional, national and global locations.
Recent innovations and successes include sector-leading online professional skills courses, an award winning internship programme, a wide range of employer-supported cocurricular initiatives and increasing student engagement levels year on year, particularly earlier year students.
