Research Faculty (Mass Spectrometry Expert) position

ShanghaiTech University - Lab of Cell Biology at the SIAIS/School of Life Science

Accepting applications for a Research Associate Professor/Research Assistant Professor position in the Lab of Cell Biology in the Shanghai Institute for Advanced Immunochemical Studies (SIAIS)/School of Life Science at ShanghaiTech University.

We are recruiting for a talented senior-level mass spec expert, who is interested in studying fundamental mechanism of protein secretion in mammalian cells. In particular, the candidate will be investigating how various membrane trafficking machineries are spatially organized on the cytosolic face of the Golgi apparatus, using proximity-based in vivo tagging (called BioID), and mass spectrometry. Required Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. degree in one of the following majors; Biochemistry, chemistry or related fields.
  2. Ideally three years of postdoctoral training in prestigious universities/research institutes.
  3. Strong publication records in recent 3 years
  4. Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken.
  5. Salary level and rank will be determined, based on qualification and research experience.
