World Academy of Sport
World Academy of Sport (WAoS) is a global leader in Education for Sport. Thus, providing tailored education programmes for sports administrators, coaches, athletes and officials. WAoS have been providing such services for over 10 years and is recognised as the “Worlds Sport’s Education Partner”.
Through a number of strategic global partnerships WAoS has steadily built a global student alumni of over 10,000 across all corners of the globe. Its partners and clients include several International Sport Federations, Education Organisations, Universities, National Governments and both the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committees.
It has worked collaboratively with the University of London to create a PGC in International Sports Management and Innovation. The programme will be launched in September 2019 and has already been designed. It will primarily be provided on a distance learning basis. It has now commenced into the detailed development phase.
Purpose of the Role
The individual should be responsible for overseeing the development of 9 modules equalling 10 credits per module to ensure content, is of a master’s standard and has the appropriate blend of academic and practitioner content creation. This will involve a close working relationship and the controlling of the module authors. It will also involve considerable cooperation with the University of London and internal WAoS personnel. The quality standards of WAoS and the University of London will have to be met. Close attention to detail is considered to be a vital quality for the role.

Reporting and Working Relationships
The Interim Programme Development Director will report to the Director of Educational Partnerships and Government Projects. The role will be on a part time basis for three days per week. Remuneration will be £40,000-£45,000 per annum on a pro rata basis. The job will be for a six-month duration, subject to potential extension.
Given the international nature of the business, the Interim Programme Development Director will be required to work unsupervised for periods of time.
