Head of Health & Wellbeing

This role provides holistic, strategic leadership and management for our ambitious, innovative, forward looking Counselling, Student Occupational Health and Wellbeing Teams at Cardiff University.

Initially a major focus will be contribution to the delivery of our Centre for Student Life. Part of our commitment to delivering an exceptional student experience, this will transform the way we provide student support services.

This role works closely with colleagues across the University to develop strategy, encourage innovation and enhance partnerships with external agencies. The post holder will ensure effective working with academic and professional service staff in Schools and Colleges which helps us to enhance the Cardiff University experience.

The post is part of the Student Support and Wellbeing Senior Management Team. It provides evidenced support, analysis and advice on issues related to the health and wellbeing of our students. The post deputises for the Director and works in partnerships with the senior team to help enhance the student experience, support students and aid the University in managing our response to a wide range of student support issues. This will include oversight of our response to the most complex and risky situations affecting individuals and groups of students.

This is a full-time, open-ended post.
 
Salary: A competitive salary at a point on the Cardiff Professorial Salary Scale (minimum starting salary of £65,596)
