Grade 5: £25,482 - £30,395 p.a.

We are seeking a full-time Electrician to join the Maintenance team at the Department of Engineering Science, (central Oxford). This is a permanent post.

Working as part of the Maintenance Team you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of office and laboratory electrical distribution systems and equipment, including PAT and FAT testing. You will be required to design and install electrical systems and ensure work is carried out in full compliance with all related legislation and safety standards.

You should possess 17th edition certificate in IEE wiring Regulation and Electrical Installation, BTEC National Certificate/Advanced Level City and Guilds or NVQ 3 (or equivalents) in electrical engineering with post training experience. Practical experience of installation work, fault finding and testing together with an understanding of control circuits, relevant health and safety procedures are essential. Good team working skills with strong communication skills are also required.
