The post holder will be an integral member of an international team providing support on a multi-year archaeological project researching ancient Peru, and will work closely with Dr George Lau of the Sainsbury Research Unit for the Arts of Africa, Oceania & the Americas.
Applicants will hold a doctorate in archaeology or a closely-related field with relevant skills and methods. Experience and skills in archaeological fieldwork are essential and previous experience in Andean South America would be beneficial. Excellent knowledge of Spanish (including writing and speaking) is required, and a suitable track record in research dissemination and outreach are desirable. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate how their involvement in the project would fit in with their career path, past and future.
This post is available from 6 May 2019 on a part-time (0.97fte), fixed term basis to 13 October 2022.
