The Department of Structural and Molecular Biology at UCL is looking to appoint a Senior Teaching Fellow to take a senior role in ensuring the delivery of the Molecular Biosciences degree programmes within an agreed framework, working closely with the Molecular Biosciences Head of Teaching and other members of the Teaching Hub.
The postholder will be primarily responsible for delivering lectures, tutorials and practicals to undergraduate students on the theoretical and experimental basis of protein biochemistry and molecular biology and will provide related administration, including the design and marking of assessments. The postholder will also contribute to the pastoral care and key skills programmes of the Teaching Hub.
The post is available for 2 years in the first instance.
Successful applicants will have a PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology or related discipline and be able to demonstrate sound theoretical knowledge in protein biochemistry and molecular biology. Experience of successfully engaging with digital education technologies and the changing information environment is essential.
