This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate with the ability and confidence to manage a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with Peak, a pioneering artificial intelligence company based in Manchester.

The University of Manchester and Peak are looking to recruit a Data Engineer to undertake this 24 month project which has an overall aim of investigating, developing and deploying innovative techniques that support cost effective data preparation for enterprise applications. In particular, this will include the development of techniques that support dataset discovery and linking, and identification and fusion of duplicate records.

The position will provide you with a unique opportunity to adapt and apply the latest research results in data integration to diverse and challenging strategically important, commercial applications, in a rapidly growing data science and artificial intelligence company.

You will require minimum of a 2:1 honours (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related discipline, preferably with a Masters or PhD and/or research and development experience in a relevant area.

This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.

Based at Peak in Manchester, you will work directly with supervisors from both the University and Peak, and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations. Interviews are expected to be conducted in February 2019.
