The University is seeking to invest in a series of strategic appointments within the Department of Education to continue to build on our recent outstanding successes in both research and teaching and to develop our continuum of provision. We are a Department that continues to go from strength to strength in our portfolio of taught programmes, external engagement activity and in our research profile.
For the post of Professor of Education, we invite applications with a strong international research profile and a track record of successful research income generation in one or more of our main areas of research who are willing to contribute to research capacity building and leadership in our Department. These areas are STEM Education, Pedagogy and Curriculum, Teacher Education and Professional Education, Higher Education, Social Justice, Inclusive Education, Educational Theory and Policy. We welcome applications from scholars who bring experience of working in settings outside of the UK.
The successful applicant will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.
