Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology (Ref.: 493860), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a related discipline, with proven capacity in research, and a track record of high-quality impactful research as indicated by publication record and external grants. They should also be familiar with biostatistics. The appointee will carry out population-based studies in pain medicine and will be expected to establish an innovative and well-funded research group that is open to interdisciplinary collaboration. He/She will need to demonstrate not only outstanding research achievement with evidence of international recognition, but also assist the Department in its strategic developments in academic and research collaborations locally, regionally and internationally. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
