You will be responsible for performing duties relating to security and public safety within the College, assisting to ensure the safety and security of people as well as buildings and their contents. You will provide break cover for Customer Services Coordinators on building receptions, and be deployed and expected to respond to incidents across College buildings.
As part of the role, you will be responsible for the monitoring of CCTV, as well as responding to and dealing with incidents or emergencies. You will also be required to patrol buildings and check the security and safety of premises and contents.
You will need extensive experience in a front of house or security role, with experience of working within Higher Education/Further Education sectors desirable. You will require extensive working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, together with a working knowledge of CCTV and Data Protection legislation. Working as part of team, you will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, with previous experience of working in a busy customer services environment. You must hold a current First Aid at Work certificate and possess a SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
This post is part time, 11 hours per week (8am to 8pm with one hour break) on Saturdays and open-ended.
Grade 5 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £9,179 rising to £10,446 per annum inclusive of London Allowance for 11 hours per week (£29,206 to £33,238 for 35 hours per week).
The salary quoted will be pro-rata for this part time post and is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the Greater London area.
