Turning 150 years old in 2019, the University of Otago is New Zealand's first and oldest University. It has a strong teaching and research tradition and well-established national and international linkages. Accounting at the University of Otago has a long history, and the Department includes some of the most outstanding teachers and researchers in the Business School and the University. We are AACSB, EQUIS, CA ANZ, CPA Aust. and ACCA accredited. Our students regularly make up more than half of the Dean's list of outstanding students in the School.
Our Department is internationally-recognised for its scholarly contributions in the fields of: Auditing, Performance Measurement and Management, Capital Market Research, Financial Reporting, environmental reporting, and Business Education. We have excellent archival databases including WRDS, Audit Analytics, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, CRSP/Compustat, DataStream, Orbis and SIRCA. We also have strong research productivity and representation in leading accounting journals as well as staff who serve as editors and on editorial boards.
We are seeking to appoint a full-time, confirmation path Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accountancy. This role provides an opportunity for you to contribute to our existing teaching and research strengths in the area of management accounting, financial accounting, financial analytics or accounting information systems. We do however encourage applications from all other accounting-related themes such as taxation and auditing.
Your Skills and Experience
