The Department of Accounting and Finance is looking to recruit a full-time faculty member at the Lecturer level in the area of Accounting and/or Finance.
We are looking for an individual with an exciting research agenda that either complements or adds to the interests of our current faculty. The Finance Group has two existing research groups, Business Finance (BF) and Quantitative Finance (QF), which focus on topics such as company finance in both public and private companies, venture capital, derivatives, risk management and FinTech. The Accounting Group has existing expertise in the area of accountability, performance management, governance, accounting in public sector and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), accounting in emerging economies, and public-private-NGO partnerships.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their research has publication potential in top level journals. The Department values ‘quality over quantity’.
Through our mentorship programme, the Accounting & Finance Department provides an ideal environment for early-career academics to develop into world-leading scholars. Existing faculty have produced top-level research outputs and play a leading role in the global community, for instance through editorships of leading journals.
The successful candidate will be an engaged academic who enjoys working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and shows enthusiasm for collaborating with colleagues within the department and across disciplines.
They should have experience in teaching at either undergraduate or postgraduate level, as well as a preparedness to teach specialist and core subjects.
