We have a broad range of research strengths – see details at www.ul.ie/business/research – and welcome applications in any area. It is essential that candidates engage with a KBS faculty member prior to submitting a proposal, and secure agreement to supervise. A full list of faculty’s research interests can be seen here: https://www.ul.ie/business/find-supervisor

KBS is a faculty of the University of Limerick, on a campus set over 133 hectares with the River Shannon as a unifying focal point, offering outstanding recreational, cultural and sporting facilities as well as an exceptional learning and working environment. The University is located 5km from Limerick City and 20km from Shannon International Airport.

We offer excellent conditions:

  • Dynamic research environment.
  • Funded position with personal workspace and excellent research infrastructure.

Successful scholarship holders are expected to undertake a limited amount of formative academic duties in the School in addition to pursuing your doctoral studies. While this Scholarship is open to those intending to undertake full time study, applications are also welcome at this time from prospective students intending to register for part-time study. Supports may be offered to particularly strong candidates in this category.
