We are looking for enthusiastic new members of our team with a “can do” attitude to deliver on the new BA (Hons) Esports degree. This innovative degree is a first for the UK and is jointly delivered by the Business School and the Department of Games and Visual Effects.
Staffordshire University is a leading Games Design University in the UK, with an exciting portfolio of courses which comprise of a range of highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes delivered on-campus. It is the home of the UK’s Epic Games centre and the University has won national awards for educational initiatives with the Games Industry. Staffordshire Business School has a well-established reputation for providing an innovative portfolio which includes Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Higher Degree Apprenticeships and commercial courses.
You will teach and assess students across programmes and play a lead role in the development of the curriculum and the design and delivery of new modules. We will also look to you to help shape our learning and teaching strategies to explicitly enhance the student experience through the use of digital technology.
The successful candidates must have a proven track record as a practitioner and be passionate about teaching and the career development of students. You must be enthusiastic, reliable and flexible with business experience and an ambition to undertake research, scholarly activity, consultancy or income generating activities. We ensure the success of our courses through constant meaningful collaboration with the games industry which you will be a part of.
Candidate for these roles must have applied experience and you must be willing to undertake further level eight study if you do not already have a PhD. To be considered for the role of Senior Lecturer, candidates must also possess experience of award management, quality assurance, designing assessment modules and award management.
