In order to cover staff research buy-out the Department of Sociology is looking to recruit one temporary sociologist (fixed term for 15 months 0.8 FTE) with the ability to offer lectures on core and optional modules at postgraduate and undergraduate level in the areas of human rights and/or socio-legal studies. The post will also involve facilitating UK-based placements for postgraduate students on the MA Human Rights Culture & Social Justice.
You may be requested to contribute to our teaching on modules for undergraduate students studying our BA Sociology (http://www.gold.ac.uk/ug/ba-sociology/) degrees and/or our BA Criminology (http://www.gold.ac.uk/ug/ba-criminology/).
You will join one of the largest and most innovative Sociology Departments in the UK offering a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in an institution specialising in the social sciences arts and humanities. You will be expected to participate fully in departmental life.
You will have a PhD teaching experience and appropriate demonstrable expertise.
