The Department of Design is dynamic, contemporarily engaged and forward thinking. Design flourishes at Goldsmiths; the College’s interdisciplinary intellectual climate affords us the unique opportunity to draw upon diverse range of practices, and a wealth of critical, theoretical and creative perspectives, which in turn shape the distinct, and often radical, design practices, educational programmes, and research that we pursue in the Department.
This Lecturing role is to work predominately on our Graduate Diploma in Design (GDD) and the International Foundation Certificate (IFC) which feed into the MA Design Expanded Practice and the BA in Design, respectively. This vacancy is for a lecturer to work within these two entry programmes, although you will also be required to occasionally teach within other programmes. Most of the GDD and IFC design programme content is delivered through studio projects within the Department of Design.
You will be expected to publish/exhibit and disseminate research that enhances and invigorates the department profile. The role will also involve participating in departmental operational activities, supervising student projects and being a personal tutor to support pastoral welfare of students.
