We focus on learning with impact and want our students not only to have the best classroom based experience but to learn how to deal with real clients in a rapidly changing world. Our research has similarly been rated best in Scotland for intensity and our staff are among the top experts in their fields.
Due to our rapid growth trajectory and ambitions for the future, we are seeking a range of talented individuals to augment our current staffing profile. One of our key strategic areas for appointment is in Scots Private Law and we are looking to appoint teaching professionals who specialise in one or more of the following areas: Family Law, Property Trusts & Succession, and Obligations. It is our intention to make three appointments within Scots Private Law, within either academic or teaching roles. All appointment levels will depend upon the skills and experience of the candidate.
Appointees will co-ordinate and teach undergraduate classes in relevant subject areas and contribute to curriculum review and enhancement. They will also undertake student assessment and feedback, and engage in appropriate scholarship activities.
Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in an appropriate discipline, and have an established track record of teaching and assessment activities. Candidates should also possess experience of curriculum development, and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
