For over 50 years the University of Strathclyde Law School has been educating lawyers who want to make a difference to today’s world. We focus on learning with impact and want our students not only to have the best classroom based experience but to learn how to deal with real clients in a rapidly changing world. Our research has similarly been rated best in Scotland for intensity and our staff are among the top experts in their fields.
Due to our rapid growth trajectory and ambitions for the future, we are seeking a range of talented individuals to augment our current staffing profile. One of our key strategic areas for appointment is in Human Rights Law. It is our intention to make one appointment within Human Rights Law, within either an academic or a teaching role. The appointment level will depend upon the skills and experience of the candidate.
The appointee will generate research of international excellence and will co-ordinate and teach undergraduate classes in relevant subject areas. They will contribute to the collegial, supportive and energetic research culture in the law school.
Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline, be able to demonstrate a body of published work in high quality publications and have an ability to secure research funding. Candidates should also possess relevant teaching experience and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
