This is an opportunity for an excellent primary teacher with UK QTS to join our friendly and highly motivated team of lecturers to provide a high quality learning experience for a diverse range of learners. The successful applicant will use their expertise and experience in primary education to teach across the full breadth of primary curriculum subjects.
Main duties & responsibilities
The successful applicant will work collaboratively and independently within a staff team to lead, plan, organise and deliver teaching and assessment of students on ITE programmes. They will work flexibly as a team member to engage with a broad range of teaching and other activities in the School of Education, drawing on relevant expertise and professional knowledge. They will work with school partners to support and develop trainee teachers on school-based learning, managing their own work efficiently. The successful applicant will actively engage in scholarship and/or research supported by University and School of Education systems and staff.
Skills and experience needed
The post holder will have proven experience of teaching in primary school(s) in the UK and ability to demonstrate understanding of the appropriate breadth and depth of subject, pedagogical and professional knowledge in primary education to enable effective teaching. In addition the successful applicant will need to demonstrate a proven track record of making a positive impact on pupils’ learning and progress and be able to visit schools and other sites. Excellent inter-personal and communication skills in a variety of situations are essential requirements of this role.
The post holder will have UK Qualified Teacher Status and an honours degree
