The School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Nottingham is now inviting applications for a funded full-time PhD studentship to commence in October 2019, for a period of three years. The studentship includes a maintenance stipend of £14,777 per annum, plus home/EU tuition fees (both pro rata for part-time). Applications are welcome from both home/EU and non-home/EU candidates, though fees will only be paid up to home/EU levels.
We welcome applications from suitably qualified and highly motivated candidates in any area of sociology, social policy, social work or criminology offered in the school. Applications will be judged on the quality, originality and viability of the proposal, which includes our ability to provide appropriate supervision. Successful applicants will be expected to make an active contribution to the School's research culture, including participating in PhD activities and research centre events (where relevant to your subject). They will also be asked to contribute to teaching during the course of their studies.
To apply: Send your completed application form (which can be found under ‘Further Details’), along with a covering letter and CV to email@example.com.
The application deadline is 31 May 2019.
Successful candidates will be notified by email and then asked to apply for the PhD online.
