The University of Waikato Joint Institute at Zhejiang University City College is a unique institute authorised to deliver NZ (University of Waikato) and Chinese (Ministry of Education) accredited degrees. Currently the Institute offers undergraduate degrees in Finance, Computer Graphic Design and Media Design. All teaching is conducted in English. After two years of operation, the Institute has an enrolment of 450 students and the total enrolment is expected to be 1,000 students by 2020.

Applications are invited for a position in Management to cover Marketing, Leadership Communication and Strategic Management in the Waikato Management School, a Triple Crown Accredited (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA) business school. This position is based in China and contributes to research informed teaching in the Bachelor of Business Analysis degree.

Successful candidates will hold a PhD in a relevant field, be able to demonstrate experience in teaching to large and small groups of students for whom English is not their first language and have achieved a sustained publication record of publications. An understanding of China and its culture, supervision experience and the ability to attract research funding are essential.

Candidates for the position of Lecturer are expected to demonstrate a developing research profile with at least two or more publications. Candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer are expected to demonstrate an internationally recognised research profile with at least five or more publications (including some in journals that are highly ranked, as evidenced by rankings such as ABDC at the A or A* level).
