The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £37,412 to £44,015 per annum, inclusive of £3,223/ per annum London Allowance for Research Associate post or at Grade 7, £45,259,412 to £53,355 per annum, inclusive of £3,223/ per annum London Allowance for Research Fellow post

The purpose of this role is to work within the iFind project ( which has been running since 2014 and contributes to world leading fetal imaging research. The role will be embedded in an established team of well-known multidisciplinary scientists and provides significant potential for personal career development. There will be flexibility to work in areas of fundamental machine learning research, image analysis research, imaging devices and robotics. Recent findings in ultrasound image analysis also pave the way for commercial exploitation if the candidate is interested in this avenue. This role will benefit from five years of preceding work.

The post holder will be a self-driven individual who is willing to take ownership of existing research streams and to contribute and execute own ideas. Good programming skills (Python, C++) and a high-quality publication record are essential. Previous experience in medical image analysis is desirable but not essential.

Contract Type: This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 28 February 2021. 

Contract Term: This is a full-time post – 100 % full time equivalent.
