We are seeking to recruit a Research Technician to work within Dr Julien Bergeron’s laboratory in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBB) to work on a structural biology project. The project aims to characterise the structure of bacterial membrane protein complexes, using a combination of single-particle cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, NMR and other biophysical methods. The post holder will also contribute to the general running of the laboratory, including generating common reagents, training students, and help with the laboratory organisation. You will also provide technical and administrative support to the Electron Microscopy facility at the University of Sheffield.
