Location De Havilland Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield
Applications are invited for a temporary six-month Lectureship in Philosophy, as replacement for Dr Craig Bourne during his Mind Association Research Fellowship.
Main duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching metaphysics, philosophy of language, ethics, and elementary logic within our undergraduate philosophy programme.
Skills and Experience
You will be able to demonstrate previous teaching experience in a Higher Education environment and will be able to teach the specified Philosophy modules on our undergraduate programmes. You will be enthusiastic and motivated to teach, and have experience of working effectively both on your own and as part of a team. Part of your role will involve providing pastoral and academic support to students on our undergraduate programmes.
Qualifications and memberships
You will hold a Doctorate in Philosophy or equivalent, and if not already a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy will be aiming to achieve this.
