Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.
We’re looking for a talented professional capable of delivering a range of multimedia content to promote the University. Candidates should have an eye for a good news story and should have demonstrable multimedia skills, including the ability to shoot and edit pictures and videos.
As a ‘multimedia’ reporter, we would expect candidates to be able to create content for a variety of channels, with a good understanding of both traditional and social media. They will be the eyes and ears of the PR team, attending events and capturing key moments to give external audiences a flavour of BU.
Working within our in-house PR team, the position holder will be responsible for working alongside PR colleagues to promote the University through creative content, writing press releases and news stories for the website, and engaging with journalists as appropriate. The post holder will be encouraged to think creatively to provide added value to PR campaigns, increase media coverage and use multimedia skills to highlight the strengths of the university to an external audience.
The post holder should be able to create videos, take photos and be proactive with creating social media content to enhance news stories and related PR campaigns which support delivery of BU’s strategic marketing objectives to build reputation, deliver against recruitment targets and support partnership development.
