Lectureship (Teaching and Scholarship) in Medical Law
12 month Fixed Term Contract
The Department of Law are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Law to teach LLB and LLM students. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Department of Law.
Candidates should have an excellent academic background and hold a PhD in Law or have relevant professional qualifications or experience. Candidates should have experience of teaching Medical Law at undergraduate, and preferably postgraduate levels, excellent communication and organisational skills
Candidates should have some understanding of student support. They should also have the ability to communicate new and complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing, engaging the interest of the target audience.
The successful candidate is expected to deliver high quality teaching including making improvements in key aspects of teaching and learning. The candidate is also expected to support and contribute to public engagement initiatives and activities, influencing internal and external priorities and practice.
The post is a full time, fixed term position for 12 months. Starting salary will be in the range £41,682-£51,899 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, an interest-free season ticket loan, and a pension scheme.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
