We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, collaborative individual to manage the archives within Special Collections at The University Library. We are looking for someone with experience of working with rare books, archives or special collections and an ability and willingness to manage and develop staff, supporting high performance.
In this varied and dynamic role, you will communicate with donors, cataloguing according to ISAD (G) and be responsible for the care and preservation of the collections. You will work with the Special Collections team to carry out outreach activities, including the curation of high quality exhibitions and actively seek opportunities to promote the collections.
You should have a good honours degree and a professional qualification in Archives Management for an Archives and Records Association (ARA) recognised institution. A high level of digital capability, including knowledge of digitisation, digital preservation and digital exploitation is essential.
