This is a newly created post-doctoral fellowship (full time for 3 years) which has been funded with support from The CRUK to Professor Jeffrey W. Pollard, Director of the MRC Centre for Reproductive Health.  The Project entitled “Systemic and local influences of cancer on myeloid cell biology promote tumour malignancy” aims to define the systemic and local influences of cancer on myeloid cells. It will use a wide variety of techniques, principally conditional molecular genetics, high-end imaging and sophisticated methods for gene discovery as well as a focus upon human tumour associated macrophage biology.
