The new School of Primary, Community and Social Care invites applications for the post of Lecturer in Social Work. The successful applicant will be required to teach across the range of Social Work undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. They will also contribute to the delivery, administration and development of our undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD programmes in Social Work, and support wider School activities.
Potential candidates will be qualified social workers, ideally with current HCPC registration, and will be expected to have excellent teaching skills (ideally gained within a higher education context) as well as excellent administrative skills. For the Lectureship grade, you will be expected to make a strong contribution to Social Work and/or inter-disciplinary research. Candidates with/working towards a PhD are desirable; however, we also welcome applications from experienced Social Work practitioners with teaching-related, research and administrative skills gained in other contexts who are seeking to pursue an academic career.
This is an exciting time for Social Work at Keele as the discipline moves into the new School of Primary, Community and Social Care from 1st August 2019. The new School unites world leading research from the Research Institute for Primary Care and Health Sciences with professional taught programmes in Social Work and Counselling.
