The University is seeking to appoint a Director for the School of Law. The post of School Director is a senior management role within the University, and the person appointed will have responsibility for the overall strategic and operational management of the School. This is a significant opportunity to lead the future development of a successful School.
The School of Law has a track-record of delivering excellent academic and professional programmes, a growing research/scholarship profile and a significant presence in terms of pro-bono legal work across Merseyside. This post offers the opportunity to build on that success and to shape the development, nature and identity of the School in the post SQE landscape. You will have a proven ability to provide leadership in teaching and learning, research, scholarship and enterprise, in an academic and vocational context, to meet the needs of the UK and international markets.
The Director of School is first and foremost an inspiring academic leader. Whilst the breadth of our Schools varies, the behaviours and capabilities required of Directors of School are common and are characterised by the commitment, drive and collaborative spirit that should underpin this key leadership role. You will be responsible for the delivery of academic, financial and people management of the School, and is a member of the Faculty Management Team.
