The Faculty of Life Sciences (FLS) is establishing a dedicated Marketing and Communications team who will be responsible for all external and internal communications for FLS. This includes the strategy and execution for the UCL Faculty of Life Sciences brand and the content side of the external faculty site https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lifesciences-faculty and the FLS intranet. External marcomms includes the critical function of student recruitment for both UG and PG through SEO, open days, PPC, activities on key student review platforms such as Prospects https://www.prospects.ac.uk/ etc.
This post will lead the development and implementation of the internal and external communications strategy for the Faculty of Life Sciences. This includes the management of the FLS website, the FLS Intranet and the relevant agencies. The post holder will also be responsible for the management and return on investment of the total marcomm budget of the Faculty of Life Sciences. They are to ensure the delivery of engaging, targeted and legally compliant communications materials on time and within budget to internal and external audiences.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in communications, PR, brand or marketing agency or complex, stakeholder environment. The right candidate will clearly demonstrate a strong understanding of the digital landscape and the relationships between SEO, paid activity, content and social media.
