We are seeking a Student Welfare Officer to support students with welfare and disability issues, including being the first point of contact during working hours. You will provide advice to a range of people, take the lead in liaising with the University’s Disability Advisory Service, work with colleagues on different aspects of student welfare and proactively develop student support activities.
The successful candidate will have extensive professional experience together with demonstrable experience in a student-facing role within higher education. Experience of working with students from a wide range of backgrounds and an understanding of the issues affecting them is a must, as are excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills, an ability to put people at ease, proven administrative experience, a high degree of computer literacy and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
