We are looking for a motivated, self-reliant individual to help support the work of the Centre. You will be highly organised, pro-active and have the ability to constantly re-prioritise your work according to demands. The post would suit an experienced administrative professional comfortable with working across multidisciplinary and institutional boundaries and possessing the ability to communicate effectively with academics, industry professionals and students.
Candidates must be educated to a minimum of A level standard or have equivalent experience and have previous administrative experience including maintenance of electronic data.
The Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures (GCSF) brings collaborators together across academic disciplines, business and politics to create knowledge that will deliver global health, prosperity and wellbeing within planetary boundaries. The Centre runs a PhD programme for Grantham Scholars to carry out extraordinary research and foster leadership skills. Through training and external engagement activities, the Centre also aims to give both academics and PhD students the skills and opportunities to engage with public and policy debates about sustainability issues.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding, high profile research centre at The University of Sheffield. You will work collaboratively across all five academic faculties. Reporting to the Centre Manager and working with the Centre’s team, you will provide day-to-day support by taking responsibility for, and assisting with, a wide range of administrative tasks.
