The University of Liverpool is seeking to recruit a lecturer in Particle Physics to help deliver major detector components for the Silicon tracker upgrades of the ATLAS experiment for the High-Luminosity LHC, to contribute to detector R&D and work on the development of future opportunities in fundamental particle physics.
The candidate is also strongly encouraged to have an involvement with the physics exploitation of running experiments, mostly through the supervision of graduate research students. You should have a PhD in Physics, an excellent track record in Particle Physics including frequent publications in internationally recognised journals, experience in the development construction or commissioning of detector systems for physics experiments and the ability to attract external research funding.
