This role will be responsible for managing the ongoing development and continuation of the Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education Policy and Practice (Academic Professional Apprenticeship (APA)) - a degree apprenticeship standard level programme for academic staff as defined by the national framework. This programme forms part of a suite of development opportunities for academic staff under the LALT umbrella.
The role holder will be responsible for engaging with and supporting academic leads in developing modules to meet the requirements of the national Academic Professional Apprenticeship Standard framework, and will lead on establishing links at an institutional level with the academic community to promote this career pathway. The APA Standard reflects widely understood professional standards for both the teaching and research routes in Higher Education, and is accredited by the Higher Education Academy’s (HEA) UK Professional Standards Framework. This role will ensure that the quality of academic career development at Lincoln through this route will be achieved to a nationally recognised level.
The role holder will act as Programme Leader for APA and help develop and deliver additional staff-facing CPD and induction packages.
