Salary: £40,792 to £48,677 p.a. (Grade 8)
Hours: Full Time

Development Office, University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as part of the country’s most successful higher education fundraising team, and to contribute to its current campaign focusing on one of the three core goals of the Oxford Thinking Campaign – student support.

Critical to this goal is raising philanthropic income for outreach, undergraduate support and fully-funded graduate scholarships.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced development professional, with a strong track record in securing major gifts and a confident approach to achieving ambitious income targets. You will have a passion for social mobility and possess diplomacy, creativity and outstanding communication skills, as well as the ability to operate comfortably in a large, complex institution with multiple stakeholders. You will have the credibility and confidence to influence at the highest level, and a collaborative and flexible working style is essential.

A graduate or equivalent with an interest in education, you must have the ability to engage others in Oxford’s goals, and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Whilst the role is a Grade 8 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with the potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 7 (£32,236 - £39,609 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at the interview or appointment stage, where appropriate.
