Business Development Manager of The DSP Centre of Excellence

Salary: £33,199 - £39,610 (Grade 7) p.a.  

Applications are invited for the above fixed-term, full-time post working in the digital signal processing (DSP) Centre.

The scheme is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Welsh Government, EU Funds: Investing in Wales.

Duties will include managing the delivery of the individual research projects, ensuring the DSP Centre’s compliance with the regulations and rules of the funding body.

Candidates should be technically qualified to degree level in one or more of the following areas from a technological and business perspective: 
i) optical/wireless transmission systems; 
ii) optical/wireless access networks; 
iii) high-speed optical/wireless devices; 
iv) DSP algorithms and their real-time FPGA implementations;

Candidates should also have an extensive background in managing research and development activities of large groups and have a solid track record of successfully commercialising innovative and advanced communication technologies.  

The successful candidates will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the posts are initially fixed term positions until 30/06/2023.
