The Division of Civil and Building Services Engineering within the School of the Built Environment and Architecture at London South Bank University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer of Electrical and Building Services Engineering. The School wishes to recruit innovative and ambitious academic staff members across a range of areas in response to the strong growth in student numbers.
The candidate will be expected to cover teaching, research, and administrative duties. Candidates with strong skills and a background in power electronics, power systems, transmission, smart grids, microgrids and integration of renewables would be considered as a priority. The candidate will have an excellent first degree in engineering or relevant discipline, and should have a doctorate or equivalent industry experience. Wider knowledge of the technology and policy landscape affecting the built environment is preferred. The candidate should show evidence of ability to engage in high level research including a developing bibliography of peer reviewed journal publications and the ability to attract external research funding. An excellent level of oral and written communication skills is essential.
