The Department of Computer and Information Sciences has a long and distinguished record of high-quality research, particularly into practically relevant problems that arise in real-world applications and settings. We are seeking excellent candidates to join our internationally recognised research groups in
Each of these makes substantial contributions across the Department in undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, teaching, research and knowledge exchange. The Department is flourishing; in the 2019 National Student Survey (NSS), we scored 5th in the UK, our PGT cohort has increased from 30 to over 150 in the last 5 years, and our staff numbers are increasing. We have put in place a number of innovative mechanisms to ensure as much time is given to academics to pursue their research and this is reflected in a growing portfolio of grants. Finally, by tapping into the Strathclyde knowledge exchange ecosystem, we are working at an ever greater scale and producing ever greater impact.
