Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the UK's largest and most popular Universities. Manchester Law School is part of the Faculty of Business and Law and is a large and diverse School with a strong mix of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes. Our focus is on skills development across all programmes, while ensuring that the student experience is as good as it can possibly be. The School has a strong group of active researchers and prides itself on its external relationships with a range of professional service and public sectors, in the city and globally.
The Law School is seeking experienced candidates with a strong academic background to contribute to the delivery and development of legal education in the School. The Law School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with academic experience in Land Law to teach on the Land and Property Units in the School’s undergraduate programmes and the GDL. The post-holder will also teach on other undergraduate or post-graduate units based on their previous experience. We are seeking a future unit leader for our Land Units. We will support the successful candidate in the development of their skills and experience to undertake a unit leadership role. Further, the successful candidate will be supported to develop their contribution to the University research strategy.
This represents an exciting opportunity to join a popular and growing Law School and play a key role in driving forward our plans for development, as we welcome our new Head of School, Professor Andrew Francis in August 2019, and celebrate 50 years of graduating law students.
