The Department of Business at the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) is searching for a Professor of Marketing. This is a regular full time position, starting in the Fall 2020 semester.
The level of appointment is open and based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Position Responsibilities: Teaching a load of 6 courses per academic year in Marketing Principles and Marketing elective courses, producing research and/or equivalent creative activity, advising students, and serving the department, the university, and the wider community.
The successful candidate will be teaching mostly upper level topics courses in Marketing to students majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Integrated Marketing Communications. Previous teaching experience, research, project or professional work in areas of (1) Marketing Research including work with SPSS or other software, (2) Consumer Behavior, as well as (3) New Product Development are preferred.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
a) A PhD degree is preferred (minimum a Master’s Degree) in Marketing or related fields;
b) Experience in teaching relevant undergraduate level courses;
c) Record of publications and/or scholarly research;
d) Experience in an American liberal arts-style education or willingness to adapt to the American liberal arts style of teaching;
e) A passion for marketing;
f) A collegial disposition.
