Salary: Grade 7/8/9; £35,845 - £40,322 / £44,045 - £51,034 / £52,560 - £59,135 per annum

Applications for the post are welcome in any research areas in Imaging and Sensing Systems that complement the existing strengths within the School. The post-holder will develop, lead and sustain research of international standard in machine vision and sensing components and systems,contribute to teaching, assessment, project supervision and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and participate in School management and organisation.

The School is wishing to appoint a research leader in the area of Imaging and Sensing Systems. The successful candidate will grow a team developing systems and components in machine vision and sensing (distance, force, proximity, temperature, chemical, etc.), finding primary application in areas such as autonomous vehicles and Ai-controlled robots. The successful candidate will establish collaborations with colleagues in the College in the development of new electronic, photonic, and/or magnetic components, and more widely in new system applications.
