Research in H2 & Fuel Cells:
The research of our group is focusing on PEM Fuel Cells and Water Electrolysers (PEMFC/PEMWE), as well as Solid Oxide Fuel Cells and Electrolysis Cells (SOFC/SOEC). It covers multi-disciplines such as inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science and technology, mechanical engineering, etc. We invite highly motivated individuals with a PhD degree to join us in the following studies:
Synthesis and characterization of the electro-catalysts or other materials and components for fuel cells or electrolysis cells;
Advanced structural design, manufacturing technology and performance optimization for cells or stacks;
Combined microstructural/chemical investigation, electrochemical testing and diagnosis of the components, cells or stacks;
Simulation of mass and thermal transfer, and electrochemical and mechanical properties of the cells or stacks;
There will be 2 postdoc positions starting from 2020 spring and the duration will be 2 years. The salary is ¥260,000-340,000 CNY (approx. £29,500-38,600 GBP) per annum with LOW tax. The location is HIT campus in downtown Shenzhen (one of the top four Chinese super-cities and best known for its world leading high-tech industry, ~20 km to Hong Kong and ~50 km to Macau).
Self-motivated researchers with a PhD in materials science, electrochemistry, chemistry or chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering are encouraged to apply. Research experience in fuel cells, electrolysers and electrochemistry is an advantage. Good journal publication track record and English communication skills are preferred. The applicant should work independently and also collaboratively in a team.
