An opportunity has arisen to join our multi-award winning team as a Procurement Officer for a 12 months, Fixed Term (Maternity Leave Cover) position.
Reporting to the Estates Category Team Manager, you will have the experience to manage complex projects and deliver on key strategies specific to the Estates Category areas of spend.
Specific experience of procuring Estates related Goods, Services and Works would be advantageous, but not essential. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on individual with knowledge, skills and aptitude to influence colleagues (who are not directly managed and in other areas) to contribute to projects and continuously improve procurement practice. You will be expected to lead on Estates category contract negotiations.
The post holder should have full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent qualifications e.g. relevant degree or be making progress towards MCIPS, coupled with substantial relevant experience, and a demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development.
You will require good organisational, communication and numerical skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively is essential, whether this is in writing, persuading others with presentations or just being able to articulate your point clearly and calmly to key internal and external stakeholders. You will have a passion for what you do and the drive to further develop skills and experience.
Team working is essential and supporting each other with demanding timelines and workloads.
Knowledge and experience of public procurement regulations and systems would be particularly advantageous.
