Here at the University of Edinburgh, we are launching a pilot project to establish a Unitemps Branch servicing the needs of Information Services’ ambitious goal of employing more than 500 students in roles across our IT, Web and Library services.
Based at Argyle House in central Edinburgh, you will need to travel between various University of Edinburgh buildings to meet our students, attending careers fairs and delivering pop-up promotion activities across the campus. Working closely with our Careers Service colleagues, you will also promote a range of structured programmes that support students gain employability skills for their future.
This is an exciting time to join Information Services within the University. This pilot project will change how we employ students and longer term could provide the model for a whole new approach to how we employ students. Experience of establishing a desk would be beneficial, but as Unitemps is a franchise there is a lot of experience and support there to help you grow the service.
