Post-doctoral Research Associate in immunology, cell or molecular biology or a closely related field

A post-doctoral research associate position in Professor Kaser's laboratory is available for a talented and motivated scientist to work on the biology of the key immune-metabolic enzyme. Our laboratory studies genetically-affected pathways that predispose for immune-related diseases. We are looking for a scientist with a background in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry, structural and/or molecular biology to join our group to study a major immuno-metabolic pathway. We hope to recruit an enthusiastic and creative colleague who shares our passion for discovery and who looks for an exciting challenge within a multidisciplinary group.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject and be willing to supervise research students. A strong publication record, ability to work independently and good communication and presentation skills are essential. A personal Home Office License would be advantageous although not vital. Experience in immuno-metabolism would be ideal. The successful candidate will participate in an active programme of group meetings and departmental seminars, manage research project and associated administrative matters.

Our research  and this post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and the European Research Council, and we enjoy several excellent collaborations on and off campus.
