We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced GMP chemist to join the newly formed Healthcare Technology Accelerator Facility (HTAF) and conduct GMP production and analytical services for an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) facility and GMP sterile liquid product facility. The post holder will be expected to produce and characterise API’s to GMP standard for use in early stage clinical studies and to provide QC analytical support to a GMP certified sterile liquid manufacture facility. This new position is integral to strategic developments within The University of Edinburgh to enable the academic and wider healthcare community to accelerate novel technologies into clinical settings.

The successful applicant will have a PhD in Chemistry and must have relevant experience in the production and characterisation of organic compounds. Analytical experience in a GMP environment is preferred.

The post-holder will join a team of enthusiastic and committed healthcare translational professionals and play a key role in the development and translation of novel healthcare technologies.
