The University of Warwick is seeking to appoint a full-time, 30-month postdoctoral research fellow as part of the research grant ‘Cross-linguistic influence and shared syntax in bilingual language development,’ funded by The Leverhulme Trust. The PDRA will be based at the Department of Psychology and will work with a team of researchers: Dr. Kate Messenger (PI, Department of Psychology), Prof. Ludovica Serratrice (Co-PI, University of Reading), and a postgraduate research assistant (to be appointed; University of Reading).
The project will investigate language development in Polish-English bilingual children therefore the successful candidate will be need to be a proficient speaker of Polish.
The successful candidate will need to have submitted their thesis for examination prior to beginning this position but they will not need to have undergone their viva. In such cases, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£30,046 pa). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£30,942 pa).
