University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. UESTC was included as one of the first universities into "Project 211" in 1997, and then the nation's “Project 985” in 2001. In 2017, UESTC was included in Category A of the “World-class University” project. School of School of Resourses and Environment
School of Resources and Environment was founded in 2012 with Prof. Xiaowen Li, the well-known remote sensing scientist and an Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the school’s founding dean. School of Resources and Environment has two first-class disciplines, Surveying and Mapping and Information and Communication Engineering. The school has two provincial and ministerial research platforms, provincial key laboratory for earthquake early warning and Sichuan branch of the National Remote Sensing Center. The school has three main research directions: quantitative remote sensing of complex environments, intelligent deep detection and ecological environments monitoring.
